The Napa Wilderness Trail Runs take place at Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, California on May 15, 2027. The event offers multiple trail distances on courses that include newly added trails through Napa Open Space and sections on Rim Rock Trail with valley views.
The event distances include:
- 50K - ultra distance, ~6,700 ft elevation gain
- 30K - ~18.2 miles, ~4,000 ft elevation gain
- 21K - half marathon, ~13.9 miles, ~2,600 ft elevation gain
- 10K - ~6.1 miles, ~1,300 ft elevation gain
Aid stations are spaced roughly every 5 to 9 miles and provide pre-packaged food, Skratch and Cure hydration, and GU gels with plant-based options. Runners should be self-sufficient on a roughly 7-mile section that has only a water stop. The event is cupless; runners must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration system.
Parking is managed through the South Gate overflow lot; a $6 parking fee is included with race registration while spectator parking uses the main gate. Crew access is restricted to Lake Marie aid station, which is about a 2-mile walk from start/finish. There are porta-potties at the start/finish and no restrooms on course. Cutoff times apply for each distance and the race staff may enforce downgrades near cutoffs.
Finishers receive an insulated Bay Trailrunners cup; medals are not issued. Camping and other park services are arranged directly through Skyline Wilderness Park. Results are posted after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
