Napa Wilderness Trail Runs
The Napa Wilderness Trail Runs take place at Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, CA, with the start/finish area at 2201 Imola Ave. The event offers multiple trail distances that use Skyline trails and new sections through Napa Open Space.
Distances
- 50K 32.4 miles, ~6,700 ft elevation
- 30K 18.2 miles, ~4,000 ft elevation
- 21K 13.9 miles, ~2,600 ft elevation
- 10K 6.1 miles, ~1,300 ft elevation
Courses are fully marked and include multiple aid stations typically spaced every 5 to 9 miles. Aid stations provide bottled hydration, Skratch and Cure Hydration, GU gels, plant based options, and prepackaged food. Volunteers will pour hydration into runners' cups or bottles and food will be set on tables; there are no open food containers. Note a roughly 7 mile section with only a water stop on the longer courses; runners must be prepared and self sufficient.
The event is cupless: runners must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration system. Porta potties are available near the start/finish; there are no restrooms on course. Parking at the park carries a $6 fee which is included with race registration; friends and family entering through the main gate pay the parking fee separately.
Camping and other park services are managed and reserved through Skyline Wilderness Park and are not included with race entry. Course cutoffs and completion limits apply for each distance; participants are responsible for their own safety and gear. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
