Napa Wilderness Trail Runs
Napa Wilderness Trail Runs takes place at Skyline Wilderness Park in Napa, CA, offering multiple trail running distances on natural singletrack and park trails. The event lists a $6 parking fee included with race registration and directs participants to use the south gate overflow parking. Registration closes on May 15 at 11:59 PM PT.
Distances
- 50K - Ultra distance with steep Rim Rock climbs and scenic valley views.
- 30K - Longer trail route with significant climbing and exposed sections.
- 21K - Half marathon distance at a moderate level for endurance training.
- 10K - Short trail option for newer or returning trail runners.
Course and aid stations are marked and may change as new trails are added. The 50K and 30K routes include sustained climbs on the Rim Rock Trail; summit views may include Mount Diablo, Mount Tamalpais, and Mount Saint Helena. Aid is provided at the start, finish, and stations averaging every 5 to 9 miles. Aid operations are touchless; volunteers will pour fluids or place prepacked items on tables. The 30K and 50K include a roughly 9 mile section with only a water stop, so participants should carry extra water and nutrition.
Timing cutoffs are published for each distance: 10K 4 hours, 21K 6 hours, 30K 8 hours, 50K 10 hours. Runners who leave the course must return to the start finish on their own; there is no transportation from aid stations.
Skyline Wilderness Park offers camping options, restrooms and showers, mountain biking, equestrian use, and disc golf. Race day swag includes selectable shirts and glassware for longer distances. Race photos are available with options for higher resolution purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
