Pacifica Foothills Trail Run : January 24, 2026
The Pacifica Foothills Trail Run takes place at San Pedro Valley Park in Pacifica, CA. The event offers trail races in three distances:
- 30K (18.9 miles, 4,300 ft elevation gain)
- Half Marathon (13.2 miles, 3,100 ft elevation gain)
- 10K (6.0 miles, 1,200 ft elevation gain)
The event has a capacity of 350 runners. There is a 6 hour time limit for the 30K. Parking is available inside the park for a $6.00 fee, with limited neighborhood parking nearby.
Course, timing, and services
Most of the courses are on moderately technical dirt trails, including twisty single-track and sections of fire road on Montara Mountain and the surrounding foothills. Hiking poles are permitted. Courses are marked with colored ribbon placed frequently; blue ribbons indicate wrong-way trails. All races are chip timed using MyLaps and Race Director; disposable timing chips are attached to the back of each bib.
Aid stations provide a variety of foods and electrolytes, including gels, chews, snacks, soda, Skratch Labs hydration, and seasonal fruit. The event is cupless, so runners are responsible for carrying their own water or reusable cup; organizers recommend carrying at least one 20 oz bottle. Drop bag service is not available.
Other event notes
Dogs are not allowed in the park. Most race shirts are District Perfect-Tri tri-blend; to be guaranteed a shirt size, registration must be completed by January 10, 2026. Awards include trophies for the top three overall (male and female) per distance, medals for all finishers, and age-group medals three deep. Volunteers receive a race T-shirt, food, and credit toward future events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
