Pacifica Foothills Trail Run
The event takes place at San Pedro Valley County Park in Pacifica, California on January 23, 2027. Runners follow dirt trails on Montara Mountain and the surrounding coastal foothills, with twisty single-track and some fire road sections that provide views of the Pacifica coastline.
Distances include:
- 10K : 6.0 miles, about 1,200 feet elevation gain
- Half Marathon : 13.2 miles, about 3,100 feet elevation gain
- 30K : 18.9 miles, about 4,300 feet elevation gain
The event has a six hour time limit for each race. The field is limited to 350 runners across all distances. Parking is available inside the park for a $6.00 fee, with limited neighborhood parking nearby.
All races use chip timing with disposable chips attached to the back of each bib, and downloadable GPX files and printable course maps are provided. Courses are marked with colored surveyor ribbon, laminated signs, and flour arrows where allowed; blue ribbons mark wrong way trails. Aid stations offer a range of energy foods, drinks, electrolyte products, and basic first aid supplies. The event is cupless: runners must carry their own water bottle or reusable cup. Reusable cups and 500 ml soft flasks are available for purchase at the event.
Dogs are not allowed in San Pedro Valley Park. Volunteers receive a race T shirt, food, and credit toward future events. Awards include overall trophies, age group medals, finisher medals, and a custom award for the last finisher. To guarantee a race shirt size, registration must be completed by January 9, 2027.
