Castlewood Cup
The Castlewood Cup is a trail race held at Castlewood State Park on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The event marks the 18th running and features a single marked race distance of 15 km on maintained single-track trails.
The course uses Castlewood’s trail network and includes uphill sections, downhill sections, switchbacks, and occasional flat stretches. The route is described as a mix of rolling terrain and technical trail features, with natural scenery throughout the park.
Packet pickup is available before the race at Big River West County and on race morning at the Castlewood State Park Special Events Area. Registered participants will receive a sweatshirt and a finisher medal; specific designs for 2026 will be announced later.
After the race there is a post-race gathering with BBQ, snacks, and beer available for those 21 and older. Live music may be part of the post-race activities, weather permitting. Finisher photos and race videos will be provided, and live runner tracking is available via mobile and social media channels.
