The Canyonlands Half Marathon and 5 Mile Run is a road race held annually in Moab, Utah. Established in 1976, the event takes place along the Colorado River, providing views of the red rock formations characteristic of the region. The course runs parallel to Arches National Park, offering a scenic route through what is locally referred to as postcard alley.

Course Details
The course follows UT Highway 128, which is closed to all vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic during the event. Both distances start and finish near Lions Park, at the intersection of Highway 128 and Highway 191. There are six aid stations positioned along the route providing water, Gatorade Endurance Formula, and portable toilets. Medical personnel are stationed at various points and at the finish line.
Logistics and Requirements
A strictly enforced pace of 15:30 per mile is required to meet cutoff times at aid stations. Participants must use the provided shuttle service to reach the start line, as there is no parking available at the start or finish locations. Shuttles depart from Helen M. Knight School.
Registration must be completed prior to race day, as no day-of sign-ups are permitted. Participants receive a finisher medal, a printed shirt, a bag, and post-race refreshments.
