The Cannock Chase Forest HM & 10k is scheduled for 05 July 2026 in Cannock Chase Forest, Staffordshire. The event offers the following distances:

The course uses forest trails with hilly sections and runs through woodland. The event was moved from an autumn date to a summer date. It is described as open to runners of all abilities, from novices to experienced athletes. Route maps and GPX files are available for download.

Practical information

Race headquarters and the start are located just off Penkridge Bank Road within Cannock Chase; the HQ is not at the main GoApe visitor centre. The site provides on-site parking at Takeroo and can also be accessed by bicycle. Included with entry are a bespoke medal, free photographs, free parking, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. On-the-day entry fees (subject to availability) are listed as £35 for the half marathon and £30 for the 10k. Event information will be sent to registered entrants prior to race day. Trail runs nearby

Experience a night run through Wyre Forest on 26 November 2025 with a 10 km course run as two laps under torchlight. Canicross are welcome and every finisher gets a medal while prizes await the top three in each gender.

Take on Stybarrow Dodd: a 4 mile winter fell run in the Lake District with 700 m climb. Part of the Kong Winter Series, pre entry required and limited to 200 runners.

Take on the Winter Bumble Bimble 5 mile trail run from the Park Gate Inn in Bromsgrove on Sunday 30 November 2025. Entries are limited to 300 and all finishers get a medal as you tackle woodland, rolling fields and muddy scenic trails.

Join the Cannock Chase Forest Christmas 10K, 5k or Junior Fun Run on 6 December 2025 at Birches Valley for a festive run through scenic wooded trails. Expect medals, free photos and fancy dress prizes while supporting Shelter.
