Run and Ride Summer Solstice Trail Run

Brocton, United Kingdom • 17 Jun 2026

Run And Ride Summer Solstice 6 is an evening trail race organised by Mayer Active and the team behind the Cannock Chase Trig Race and Scott Sports Dirty Dozen. The event is a single lap of approximately *10 km* on the trails and high points around the Milford and Brocton area of Cannock Chase, starting and finishing at Milford Common. The route climbs from Milford Common to the Millennium Sundial, descends and climbs to the Glacial Boulder, crosses to the Trig point, then returns to the Sundial before a final descent back to Milford Common. The course is off road, hilly and includes some technical trail sections that are not suitable for road running shoes. Routing is self navigation.

Organisers will mark junctions with basic arrows and publish a suggested route and a GPX file; the marked route may not be the most direct option. The event is chip timed. No water stations or distance markers are provided. Facilities at the venue include toilets and parking at Milford Common (car park charge £1).

Entry categories include Adult/Jnr and Veteran (40+). Prizes are awarded for 1st to 3rd male and female and 1st veteran (40+) male and female. No medals will be issued; an after event gathering is planned at Barley Mow.

The event is organised not for profit and any profits will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy. Recommended clothing reflects evening and dark conditions: long sleeved top, a thin windproof layer that can be removed, and trail shoes; avoid heavy fleece or cotton bottoms that retain water.
