Course
All routes are 100% off road on trails with rolling terrain, hard stone tracks, and singletrack sections. The half marathon is a single lap; the full marathon is two laps of the same course; the 10 km is a single scenic lap. The course uses a figure-of-eight layout around the start/finish arena and includes climbs, descents into valleys, ridge sections, and a stretch through Brindley Heath. Water stations are provided every 4 miles and distance markers are placed every mile. Trail shoes are recommended because surfaces can be uneven and muddy.
Entry, age limits and facilities
Age limits: 10 km for over 14s, half marathon for over 16s, full marathon for over 18s. Facilities at the event include toilets, catering, photographer with free photo downloads, free parking about 100 metres from the start, and camping available on Friday and Saturday evenings. Finishers receive a medal and goodie bag. Prizes are awarded for top finishers in standard categories and selected vets and CaniX categories.
