Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run
The Canal Corridor Endurance Run is scheduled for October 10-11, 2026 in Akron, Ohio. The event offers three distances:
- 100 Mile race with out and back north then south sections.
- 50 Mile Front Half covers the race first 50 miles north and back.
- 50 Mile Back Half covers the second 50 miles south and back to Akron.
The start and finish area is at Missing Falls Brewery in downtown Akron. The course follows the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail, a crushed limestone trail that sometimes yields to asphalt or concrete. The surface is roughly 70% crushed limestone and 30% asphalt.
Aid and water stations are placed about every 4 to 6 miles and alternate between staffed full aid stations and unstaffed water and gel stations. Full aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink and a variety of food items; hot food is available at night. Elevation gain over the entire 100 mile course is about 1,500 feet; the Front Half 50 Mile is about 950 feet and the Back Half 50 Mile about 550 feet.
The 2026 course is USATF certificated and sanctioned. The 100 mile event is a qualifier for the 2027 Western States Endurance Run lottery. Time limits are 30 hours for the 100 mile and 15 hours for each 50 mile option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
