Event Overview
The Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run takes place on October 10-11, 2026. The event features three distances: a 100 Miler, a 50 Mile (Front Half), and a 50 Mile (Back Half, Night). The course runs along the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail in Northeast Ohio, starting and finishing in downtown Akron.
Course Details
The start and finish line is at Missing Falls Brewery in Akron. The course is an out-and-back route on the Towpath Trail, a crushed limestone path with some sections of asphalt or concrete. The surface is roughly 70% crushed limestone and 30% asphalt. The 100-mile course has a total elevation gain of about 1500 feet. The Front Half 50-mile gain is approximately 950 feet, and the Back Half 50-mile gain is about 550 feet.
Aid and water stations are located approximately every 4-6 miles along the course. Some are full aid stations with food and drinks, including hot food at night, while others are unstaffed water and gel stations.
Event Logistics
The event has time limits: 30 hours for the 100-mile race and 15 hours each for the Front Half and Back Half 50-mile races. The 100-mile race concludes at 12:00 PM on Sunday, October 11.
