Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run

The Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run takes place October 10-11, 2026 in Akron, Ohio. The event starts and finishes at Missing Falls Brewery (540 S Main St Suite 112) and runs along the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail.

Distances offered:

  • 100 Mile
  • 50 Mile (Front Half)
  • 50 Mile (Back Half, Night)

The course follows the Towpath Trail, a crushed limestone route that occasionally uses asphalt or concrete. The surface is roughly 70% crushed limestone and 30% asphalt. The overall course is run as out and back sections: the first 50 miles head north for 25 miles before returning, and the second 50 miles head south for 25 miles before returning to Akron.

Elevation gain is approximately 1500 feet for the full 100 mile course, about 950 feet for the Front Half 50 mile, and about 550 feet for the Back Half 50 mile. Aid and water stations occur approximately every 4 to 6 miles and alternate between staffed full aid stations and unstaffed water and gel stations. Staffed stations provide water, electrolyte drink and various food items, with hot food available at night.

The event is USATF certificated and sanctioned for 2026, marks the 10th annual running, and serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Western States Endurance Run lottery. Registration closes Thu, Oct 8 at 11:59 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
