Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run : October 10-11, 2026

The Canal Corridor Endurance Run is a multi-distance ultramarathon held on October 10-11, 2026, with events based in downtown Akron, Ohio. Distances offered include:

  • 100 Mile
  • 50 Mile (Front Half)
  • 50 Mile (Back Half, Night)

The course follows the Ohio & Erie Canalway Towpath Trail and uses an out-and-back format that runs north and then south from the main start and finish area at Missing Falls Brewery in downtown Akron. The Towpath is mostly crushed limestone with sections of asphalt or concrete; the course surface is roughly 70% crushed limestone and 30% asphalt.

Elevation gain for the full 100-mile course is about 1,500 feet; the Front Half 50 Mile is approximately 950 feet and the Back Half 50 Mile about 550 feet. Aid and water stations are placed about every 4 to 6 miles and alternate between staffed full aid stations and unstaffed water and gel stations. Staffed aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink and a variety of food items, with hot food available at night.

The event is USATF certificated and sanctioned for 2026 and serves as a qualifier for the 2027 Western States Endurance Run lottery. Time limits are established for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
