Canal Corridor 100 Mile Endurance Run
The Canal Corridor Endurance Run is a USATF certificated and sanctioned ultramarathon held October 10-11, 2026, in downtown Akron, Ohio. Runners follow the Ohio and Erie Canalway along the Towpath Trail, a crushed limestone route with occasional asphalt and concrete sections. The course surface is roughly 70% crushed limestone and 30% asphalt.
The event offers three distance options:
- 100 Mile: full 100 mile course on the Towpath Trail starting and finishing in Akron
- Front Half 50 Mile: northern out-and-back 50 mile segment from the Akron start
- Back Half 50 Mile: southern out-and-back 50 mile segment ending in Akron
Start and finish are located at Missing Falls Brewery, 540 S Main St. Suite 112, Akron, OH 44311. Total elevation gain for the 100 mile course is about 1,500 feet; the Front Half 50 Mile has approximately 950 feet and the Back Half 50 Mile about 550 feet.
Aid and water stations appear approximately every 4 to 6 miles, alternating between staffed full aid stations and unstaffed water and gel stations. Time limits apply: a 30 hour cutoff for the 100 mile distance and 15 hour cutoffs for each 50 mile distance. The 2026 event is a qualifier for the 2027 Western States Endurance Run lottery.
Online registration opens February 1, 2026, and the event has a combined capacity of 500 entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
