Event

The Camp Croft 50K, 50 Miler, and 100 Miler is held at Croft State Park in Spartanburg, SC (450 Croft State Park Road). Distances offered include:

  • 100 Mile - ten 10.05-mile loops
  • 50 Mile - five 10.05-mile loops
  • 50K - three 10.05-mile loops
  • 10 Mile - a single shorter option

Time limits are specified for the longer distances: 10 hours for the 50K, 17 hours for the 50 Mile, and 32 hours for the 100 Mile. 50K and 50 Mile finishers receive a finishers medal; 100 Mile finishers receive a custom designed buckle. Selected race entries include the option of campsite assignments on Friday and Saturday night.

Course and logistics

The course is a 10.05-mile loop that highlights the Fainforest Creek Connector and the Southside Trail Loop. Each loop has approximately 700 feet of elevation gain and includes a mix of flat sections, rolling hills, and smooth single track trail. Each loop has one fully stocked aid station at the start/finish location and a water-Gatorade station at mile 4.25 that may be manned during the event. Join Upstate Run Club for a free 5k group run on the Swamp Rabbit Trail followed by food and drinks at Double Stamp Brewery in Greenville. All paces welcome; the club provides the main course so bring a side or dessert to share.

Spend the Longest Night at Lakewood Nature Preserve, an overnight trail ultra supporting the Upstate Running Club Youth Team. Cozy barn hub, rolling grassy loops, hot aid station fare, and distances from 10K to 50 miles.

Join the Lakeside Park 8k Run/Walk on May 3, 2026 in Piedmont, SC for a scenic loop on natural trails and single track sections. All proceeds support the Upstate Running Club Youth Team and finishers enjoy medals, photos and pancakes.

Cottonmouth 8 Mile at Lakewood Nature Preserve on June 6, four laps of a 2 mile grassy loop with BYOB beer sips between laps and chip timing. Finishers get medals, food and Beer Olympics while supporting the Upstate Running Club youth team.
