Course, logistics, and awards
Competitors run a 10.05 mile loop that uses the Fainforest Creek Connector and the Southside Trail Loop. Each loop features a mix of flat sections, rolling hills, and smooth single-track trail, with about 700 feet of elevation gain per loop. Race formats use repeated loops: 50K = three loops, 50 Mile = five loops, 100 Mile = ten loops. Each loop has a fully stocked aid station at the start/finish area and a water-Gatorade station at mile 4.25 that may be staffed during the event. Official time limits are 10 hours for the 50K, 17 hours for the 50 Mile, and 32 hours for the 100 Mile. Finishers receive distance-specific awards: a medal for 50K and 50 Mile finishers and a custom buckle for 100 Mile finishers. Packet pickup, campsite assignments, and last-minute bib pickup occur during the race weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
