The Box Hill Vertical KM is a guided trail run held on specific dates in 2025 and 2026 at Box Hill, Dorking, Surrey. The meeting point is Stepping Stones Car Park. Route, guide and requirements
The route moves through woodland, heathland and open fields and is designed to concentrate elevation gain in a relatively short distance. Some sections are technical and include scrambling; the route does not use repeated hill reps. The run is led by a qualified guide, coach and mountain leader and is organised as a group run rather than a race.
Participants should be able to sustain an average trail pace of about 10 min/mile (6 min/km) for prolonged periods and have a suitable level of fitness.
