Bogus Trail Series

The Bogus Trail Series is a three-race summer trail series held at Bogus Basin in 2026. The events take place on the trails near the J.R. Simplot Lodge. Parking is listed at the Simplot Lodge Main Lot and the start and finish area is the grass in front of the lodge.

Course distances and basic routes:

  • 4.5 miles: Up Deer Point Trail, to Brewers Byway, down Sunshine XC, Bogus Creek Loop.
  • 3.5 miles: Bogus Creek Loop to Sunshine XC, Brewers Byway, Shindig, then back to Bogus Creek Loop.
  • 4.5 miles: Repeat of the first week route.

The series uses a Grand Prix style scoring system. Races are unofficially timed and officially scored by finishing place. Top male and female finishers in the series are recognized as Grand Prix winners. Participants who take part in one or all three races receive a customized hat sponsored by Fleet Feet Treasure Valley.

Packet pickup is available before each race at Fleet Feet Meridian on the Thursday prior from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and on race day at the race start area at Bogus Basin from 4:30 to 5:45 PM. Results are posted after each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Trail runs nearby

Trail marathon and half marathon on the Ridge to Rivers Trail System in the Boise foothills. Hilly single track courses with stocked aid stations and a $100 prize for the first man and woman to the summit of the Hard Guy climb.

Two days of trail races at Bogus Basin include a Hill Climb finishing at Shafer Butte and five and ten mile courses. Proceeds support Ridge to Rivers and a youth discount is available.

A Boise trail event offering 5K and 12K courses at Fort Boise Park, fundraising for the Bogus Basin Nordic Team, with cash awards and a post-race raffle.

A community run on Table Rock Trail near Boise that follows an approximately 3.8 mile round trip course with 900 feet of climb. Proceeds support scholarships for Idaho students and the LESS Society mission.
