Bogus Trail Series
The Bogus Trail Series is a three-event trail running series held during the summer months at the Bogus Basin Ski Resort in Boise, Idaho. The series consists of three individual races held on Friday evenings over several weeks. Each event starts near the entrance to Simplot Lodge and utilizes the single-track trail system of Bogus Basin.
The series includes the following events:
- The Bowl
- Singletrack Sunshine
- The Bowl II
The race distances range from 4 miles to 6 miles and feature varying amounts of vertical gain. Participants have the option to register for a single race, two races, or the full three-race series. Those who participate in any of the events receive a customized hat.
A "Grand Prix" style scoring system is used to determine overall winners. Points are awarded based on finishing placement in each of the three races, with top male and female winners recognized at the conclusion of the series. While the events are officially scored for the Grand Prix, they are unofficially timed. The series concludes with a post-race celebration following the final event.
