Foothills XC12K

Foothills XC12K is a trail running event in Boise, Idaho held on August 22, 2026. The event offers two measured courses that both start and finish at the Fort Boise Park Military Reserve Trail System. Participants may run or hike either course.

Packet pickup is available before race day at local running stores: Fleet Feet Meridian, Idaho River Sports in Boise, and Fleet Feet Nampa. Limited race day packet pickup will also be offered.

Funds raised by the event will benefit the Bogus Basin Nordic Team and support development of Nordic skiing in the Treasure Valley. Bogus Basin Nordic Team founded XC12K and continues as a partner in the event’s organization.

The 12K awards include cash prizes of $50 for first place in each division (male, female, non binary) and $50 for King of Mountain in each division. There will not be official age group awards; a post race raffle will be held based on bib number.

Interactive course maps are provided for both distances. Race results and event photos will be posted after race day. The event includes a volunteer program; the Boise Running GIVEBACK will donate $25 per volunteer back to the volunteer’s chosen organization.
