Foothills XC12K

The Foothills XC12K takes place on August 22, 2026 in Boise, Idaho. The event offers two trail distances and allows participants to run or hike either course. Both races start and finish at the same location within the Fort Boise Park Military Reserve Trail System. Due to possible trail congestion, parking near the Fort Boise Community Center is recommended.

Packet pickup is available before race day at two Fleet Feet locations and there is limited race day pickup. Scheduled pickups occur at Fleet Feet Meridian and Fleet Feet Nampa on the listed pre race dates during midday and early evening hours. Race day packet pickup is available in a limited window on event morning.

Cash prizes are awarded in the 12K event. First place finishers in each division receive $50, and King of Mountain prizes of $50 are awarded in each division. An award ceremony is scheduled after the races. There are no official age group awards; a raffle based on bib number follows the event.

Funds raised will benefit the Bogus Basin Nordic Team and support development of Nordic skiing in the Treasure Valley. The event lists community partners including Fleet Feet Meridian and the Bogus Basin Nordic Team. Volunteer support can generate a monetary giveback to participating organizations.
