Foothills XC 12K : Boise Foothills trail event
The Foothills XC 12K is a trail running event held in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday, August 22, 2026. The 5K and 12K courses start and finish at the Fort Boise Park Military Reserve Trail System. Because both races use the same start/finish area, organizers recommend parking near the Fort Boise Community Center and walking to the event area to reduce congestion.
Packet pickup is available before race day at two local Fleet Feet stores: Fleet Feet Meridian on Wednesday, August 19 (12:00 pm to 6:00 pm) and Fleet Feet Nampa on Thursday, August 20 (12:00 pm to 6:00 pm). Limited race-day packet pickup will be offered the morning of the event.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bogus Basin Nordic Team and support development of Nordic skiing in the Treasure Valley. The 12K includes cash awards of $50 for first-place finishers in each division (male, female, non-binary) and $50 for King of Mountain in each division. There will not be official age-group awards; a raffle based on bib number follows the race.
