If You're Not First You're Last

This is a Last Man Standing style event held in Eagle, ID at 165 Eagle Island Parkway. The course is a measured loop of 4.167 miles that competitors must complete within each hour. The bell rings at the start and then at the top of each hour; runners must be in the starting corral when the bell sounds or they receive a DNF. The race continues with hourly loops until only one competitor returns to start; the winner must complete one more loop than every other competitor.

The event includes a separate 3 Loop Challenge where overall fastest times determine one male and one female winner. Results record distance covered for each runner. The event is part of the Idaho Trail Ultra Series; a 50K finish counts toward ITUS points and a full 3 Loop Challenge counts as one of the four races needed for the series jacket.

Additional details include packet pickup at Idaho Running Company in Boise on specified dates, guaranteed race schwag for those registered by September 1, same day registration, and a no refunds policy. Each runner may have two crew members at the start and finish. There will be a minimal aid station at the start/finish offering water, Tailwind, coffee and broth. Competitors may not leave the course during a loop, personal aid is not allowed during a loop, and artificial aids including trekking poles are not permitted.
