This event is a Last Man Standing race and a separate 3 Loop Challenge held at 165 Eagle Island Parkway in Eagle, Idaho. The course is a 4.167 mile loop repeated each hour. Runners must complete the loop within the hour and be in the starting corral when the bell rings to continue; failure to be present at the bell results in a DNS or DNF as described by the event rules.

The Last Man Standing format is open ended and continues with a bell at the top of each hour until only one competitor completes one more loop than everyone else. The race records each runner's total distance covered. There are no age group awards beyond the single winner and there are no cutoffs or tie breakers. A minimal aid station at the start/finish will offer water, Tailwind, coffee and broth; no personal aid is allowed during a loop. Artificial aids, including trekking poles, are prohibited. Slower runners must allow passes and eliminated runners or other non-competitors may not use the course.
