Boise Front Trail Festival
Boise Front Trail Festival is a two-day trail running event at Bogus Basin near Boise, Idaho, held July 31 to August 1 2026. The festival features an uphill Hill Climb that finishes at the summit of Shafer Butte and distance trail races that start at Bogus Basin’s Frontier Nordic Lodge.
Distances include:
- Hill Climb (uphill, finishes at Shafer Butte summit)
- 5 mile race (starts at Frontier Nordic Lodge)
- 10 mile race (starts at Frontier Nordic Lodge)
Packet pickup is available in advance at Fleet Feet Meridian and Fleet Feet Nampa; limited race day pickup is offered at the start/finish area. Parking is provided in the Bogus Basin Frontier Point Lodge parking lots with volunteers directing traffic. Bathrooms are available through the lodge and portable restrooms at the start/finish area.
Race proceeds are donated to Ridge to Rivers. Cash awards are listed for top finishers with first place $150, second place $100, and third place $50, plus age group prizes and awards for the top three male and female finishers in the 5 mile and uphill 2 mile races. The event participates in the Youth Trail Initiative and offers a 15 percent discount for 14 to 18 year old athletes.
