Bogus 50/50 offers three trail race distances in the Boise foothills, all starting and finishing at the Fort Boise parking lot in the lower foothills. Courses include multiple uphill and downhill sections on trails of moderate difficulty and include aid stations along the route. The event is organized as a green race and requires participants to bring a collapsible cup for aid stations.
- 50 Mile: route through Boise foothills, approx 7,680 ft elevation gain.
- 50K: trail ultra in Boise foothills, approx 4,688 ft elevation gain.
- 27K: out and back on the same courses, approx 2,354 ft elevation gain.
The 50 Mile course has two hard cutoffs at approximately mile 24 and mile 43.75. The 50K has a cutoff at roughly mile 22. For the 50 Mile, the first male and female runners to reach the Bogus Road aid station receive $100 each; finishing the race is required to be eligible for that prize.
Registrations by September 14 are guaranteed race schwag. Registration closes September 21 at 11:59 PM MT. Packet pickup is available Thursday, September 24 from 10:00 to 18:00 and Friday, September 25 from 10:00 to 14:00 at Idaho Running Company in Boise.
