Entry, rules and on-site activities

Entry fees vary by distance and by club affiliation. Examples from the event listing include: 1K from £5 affiliated / £7.50 non-affiliated, 5K from £12 affiliated / £14.50 non-affiliated, 10K from £18 affiliated / £21 non-affiliated, and Scotch Bonnet 10K from £24 affiliated / £25 non-affiliated. Members of UK Athletics affiliated run clubs are eligible for the affiliated entry rates. Under 16s enter free; under 12s must be accompanied by an adult for the 1K. Staggered run start times allow participants the option to enter more than one distance.

Participants receive a finish medal and a goody bag. The event includes additional activities during the day such as face painting, kite flying, food concessions reflecting different cultures, DJs, and live run commentary. Country to Capital Ultra is a 43 mile point to point from Wendover to Little Venice, blending country trails, roads and long canal towpaths. Checkpoint support, GPS tracking and finish facilities help you chase the 11 hour cutoff.

Pick your distance on the day at Running Tribe Races in Chalfont St Peter and tackle looped trails through woods and footpaths. Distances from 7 km up to marathon and ultra are offered, with an aid station serving food and drinks.

Take to flat, scenic trails through Alexandra Gardens beside Windsor Castle with chip timing and friendly post race goodies. Choose 10K or half marathon, enjoy well marked routes, free photos and an event village for food and drinks.

Join the Dry January 10k at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes on 1 February 2026 to run 5k or 10k in person or virtually while supporting Alcohol Change UK. Enjoy a bespoke medal, charity technical t shirt and a fun lakeside route.
