Black Moon Rising is a challenging trail half marathon set in the picturesque Derbyshire region, specifically along the eastern fringes of the Peak District. Participants will embark on an out-and-back course that begins at Rock Lane in Sutton Scarsdale, traversing through Sutton Spring Wood and ascending to the Five Pits Trail. The route features undulating terrain with over 200 meters of elevation gain, providing stunning views along the way. An aid station will be available at the turnaround point, and after the race, runners can enjoy a social atmosphere around a campfire with homemade soup.
