The Hathersage Night Race is a November night running event in Hathersage, Derbyshire, in the Peak District. The course is a roughly 5 mile / 8 km route over Stanage Edge with about 400 m of climb. The event headquarters and start are at the Outside Cafe / Outside Store in Hathersage. The minimum age for competitors is 18. The event has a capacity of 220 participants, with 70 places allocated for a combined race, meal and post-race talk.

Entry and requirements

Pre-entry is required and entry is online only; there is no entry on the day. Competitors are required to carry a head torch and full FRA kit. Race numbers should be collected from the Outside Cafe before the race. The event has a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA. A 50 mile supported trail race from Manchester to Liverpool along the Trans-Pennine Trail with six checkpoints, mandatory kit, live GPS tracking and a 14 hour cut off. Entrants must be 20 or older and have completed a marathon.
