The Bitterroot Runoff Trail Runs take place on April 18, 2026, on private single- and doubletrack trails at Rossignol Ranch just west of Lolo, Montana. Distances offered:

• 5 Mile
• 10 Mile

Packet pick-up is available the day before and on race day. Parking at the venue is limited.

Courses, aid stations and race services

The courses are all on trail and include climbing: the 10 Mile has 2,025 feet of climbing, the 5 Mile has 1,000 feet, and the 5k has 500 feet. The 10 Mile route climbs to a high point near mile 4 and returns past the same aid station at miles 2 and 6.5. The 5 Mile course climbs for about 2.5 miles with an aid station at mile 2, then descends to the finish. The 5k shares the first mile with the longer courses, has most climbing in the first mile, and has no aid station.

Aid stations supply water, gels, electrolyte drink, and snacks. Registered participants receive a unisex race shirt, a 2026 finisher’s award, a 2026 event T-shirt, and a post-race brunch of pancakes, sausage, and fruit with gluten-free and vegetarian options. The event also includes a post-race beverage from Big Sky Brewing Co., free post-race massage, Hammer Nutrition products at aid stations, and a post-race festival with vendors, shoe demos, and a raffle. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall and top male and female in each age group (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
