Bee-Utiful Sunflower Run

The Bee-utiful Sunflower Run is an annual Mother's Day event held at the historic Gilcrease Orchard in Las Vegas, NV. The 4th edition features 5K and 10K races starting early in the morning, followed by a family-friendly Sunflower Fairy Walk. The flat, fast 3.1-mile course winds through 67 acres of orchard fields blooming with sunflowers, apples, pears, and pumpkins, offering scenic views and encounters with resident animals.

Participants receive sunflower-themed medals, fresh cut sunflowers, seed packets, and other themed goodies. The event includes five professional photo stations and a craft area for kids, creating a festive, family-oriented atmosphere celebrating spring and Mother's Day. A Spartan obstacle race weekend at Nevada State University near Henderson with multiple formats from a 5 km Sprint to a 10 km Super, kids races, workshops, and Hurricane Heat options. The course uses technical trails and desert conditions.

Races at Red Rock Canyon include a 5K run and walk, a runners only 17K with a three hour time limit, and a virtual 5K with mailed medals. Courses start at the Visitor Center and combine trails with sections of the scenic drive.

Trail races of 100K, 50K and 17K run through Red Rock National Conservation Area near Las Vegas, with aid stations, crew access points, shuttle service for longer distances, packet pickup downtown, and published course maps and results.

Turkey Rock is a Thanksgiving morning running event at Floyd Lamb Park offering 10K, 5K and a 1 mile walk on a crushed limestone out and back with desert scenery, chip timing, race shirt and awards.
