The Beachside Dash and Family Fun Run is an annual community running event held at Depena Reserve, Dolls Point, on the shores of Botany Bay. The 2025 event took place on Sunday 14 September 2025; the 2026 event is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026. Now in its 18th year, the event benefits the St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation (SSMRF). In 2025, 1,004 people participated and the event raised over $100,000 for medical research. Cash and other prizes were awarded to placegetters, and every participant received a medal.

Races were professionally timed and managed. The event included an inaugural Corporate Cup Challenge - a separate 2 km corporate race - and a virtual race option that allowed participants to run or walk remotely. The 2025 event introduced a dedicated Recovery Area after the finish line. Additional event features included family entertainment, coffee, a barbecue and a playground area. Many participants fundraised for SSMRF, with schools competing for the top fundraising school. Major sponsors included Club Central, St George Leagues Club and Ramsgate RSL.
