Southern Sydney Track Ultra 2026

The Southern Sydney Track Ultra returns for its sixth running on Saturday 04 July and Sunday 05 July 2026. The two day meeting is presented by Ultra Running NSW and takes place at Campbelltown Athletics Centre in Leumeah, south of Sydney. The event program comprises six races held across the weekend.

The event schedule includes these race distances:

  • 24 hour race, which hosts the Australian 24 Hour National Championships
  • 12 hour race
  • 6 hour race
  • 3 hour race
  • 1 hour race
  • 42.2 km marathon, held in the evening

The venue received a new synthetic track surface that was laid and re measured over the 2024/25 summer months. The meeting is IAU Bronze labelled and sanctioned, enabling use of the event for qualifying distances or record attempts where applicable.

The event also includes official walking races and qualifiers, including an Australian Centurion Walkers qualifier and Race Walking Australia 100 km walking championships. Trail runs nearby

A 25 km trail running and mountain bike event along the Oaks Fire Trail in Blue Mountains National Park, running from Woodford train station to Euroka Campground. Aid station at 12 km and finish-line food and drinks are included.

A single lap trail half marathon at Lake Parramatta in July featuring technical single track, fire trails and a waterfall. The *21.1 km* course has 386 m elevation, mandatory gear rules and a strict 4 hour cutoff.

A community running festival at Lake Gillawarna on 12 July 2026 offering 3 km, 7 km, 14 km and 21.1 km races, medals for all finishers and trophies for top placings, with team and family entry options.

Trail ultra events of 30 km, 50 km and 100 km start from St Ives Showground in July 2026 and run through Ku-ring-gai Chase, Garigal National Park and Manly Dam with marked routes and aid stations.
