The Sydney Trail Half Marathon - Winter Edition takes place on Saturday, July 4th and Sunday, July 5th, 2026. The course is a single-lap, 21 km trail run with an elevation gain and loss of +386 m / -386 m. The event has a strict 4-hour cutoff time.
Location
The race starts and finishes at Lake Parramatta Reserve, which is described as a reserve with waterfront trails, a waterfall, lakeside views, and eucalypt canopies.
Course & Rules
The route includes a mix of technical single tracks and fire trails. It is a cupless event, requiring participants to carry their own drinking vessel. Mandatory gear includes a mobile phone, a compression bandage, and the capacity to carry at least 500ml of water. Road crossings on the course are managed by marshals.
On-Course Support
One aid station is located at the 9.5 km and 14.5 km marks, providing hydration and snacks. An aid station is also available at the finish line.
Post-Race
Finishers receive a medal and a bucket hat. A post-race BBQ is offered, and a cafe provides hot coffee. The finish area is next to a swimming area at the lake. A bag drop service is available.
Logistics
Bib collection is available in the week before the race and on race morning at Lake Parramatta. Parking is available outside the lake and on surrounding streets. The event capacity is limited to 450 runners per day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
