Sydney Trail Half Marathon - Winter Edition
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon Winter Edition is held at Lake Parramatta Reserve on Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July 2026. The event uses a single lap trail course of 21.1 km with an overall elevation of +386 m / -386 m.
The route combines technical single track, fire trails and hill sections, and features lakeside views, a waterfall and eucalypt canopies. The course is clearly marked and includes road crossings with marshals to assist runners where required.
Aid stations are supplied by PURE Sports Nutrition and are located at approximately 9.5 km and 14.5 km, with additional aid at the finish. The event is cupless; athletes must carry their own drinking cup, bottle or hydration system. Mandatory gear requirements include a fully charged mobile phone with a live SIM, a water carrying capacity of at least 500 ml, and a compression bandage.
Race logistics note a strict 4 hour cutoff for the half marathon and a participant limit of 450 runners per day. Facilities at Lake Parramatta include parking outside the reserve and public restrooms near the start area. Bib collection is available during race week and on race morning; bibs are not posted. Post race provisions include a commemorative medal and bucket hat, a post race BBQ and a cafe offering hot drinks.
