Sydney Trail Half Marathon - Winter Edition

The Sydney Trail Half Marathon takes place on Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July 2026 at Lake Parramatta Reserve in Sydney. The event is a single-lap half marathon covering 21.1 km with total elevation gain and loss of +386 m / -386 m. The course combines technical single track, fire trail sections, waterfront trails and features a waterfall, lakeside views and eucalypt canopy.

Aid stations are supplied by PURE Sports Nutrition and are located at approximately 9.5 km and 14.5 km, with an additional station at the finish. Supplies include gels, electrolyte mixes, fruit, lollies and water. The event operates as a cupless race; athletes must carry their own drinking cup, bottle, flask or hydration vest.

Mandatory equipment required at all times includes a fully charged mobile phone with a live SIM capable of calls and internet access, water carrying capacity of 500 ml, and a compression bandage. There is a strict four hour cutoff for the half marathon. Course markings are provided and marshals assist at road crossings needed to access Hunts Creek Reserve and the waterfall.

Race services and logistics include parking outside the lake and on surrounding streets, restroom facilities near the start area, bib collection during race week and on race morning, a bag drop at the 180 Cadence gazebo, post race medals and a bucket hat, free race photos, a post race BBQ and on-site cafe. Capacity is limited to 450 runners per day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
