The Festival of the Feet is a community running festival hosted by Western Districts Joggers & Harriers at Lake Gillawarna in Mirambeena Regional Park, Georges Hall (near Bankstown). The 2026 event is scheduled for Sunday 12 July 2026. The event typically attracts more than 600 entrants and offers individual, team and family entries. All courses are off-road within Mirambeena Regional Park and mainly on paved pathways with some short grass sections, including the start/finish area. Road shoes are appropriate. The start/finish area is 150 m west of the Henry Lawson Drive pedestrian bridge between Flinders Road and Georges Crescent. Major parking is accessed from the Mirambeena Regional Park entry off Henry Lawson Drive (GPS S 33.911227 E 150.975851); a small 20-space car park is also available off Henry Lawson Drive opposite Flinders Road. Drink stations are provided at 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, 12 km, 17 km and 19 km. All finishers receive a medal; trophies are awarded for 1st–3rd males and females in each event and for the 1st team in the 7 km. Age and participation rules include a minimum age of 16 for the half marathon, children under 5 must be accompanied in the 3 km, prams are permitted only in the 3 km, and dogs are not allowed on course.
