Festival of the Feet

The Festival of the Feet is a community running event hosted by Western Districts Joggers & Harriers at Lake Gillawarna in Mirambeena Regional Park, Georges Hall near Bankstown. The event is scheduled for Sunday 12 July 2026 and includes individual, team and family entry options.

Races take place on pathways that wind around lakes and along the Georges River, with some short sections on grass. Road shoes are appropriate for the course. The event provides drink stations at various points on the longer courses and photographers will record the day with photos available after the event.

All finishers receive a medal. Trophies are awarded for first, second and third males and females in each event, plus a trophy for the first team in the 7 km. A half marathon time limit requires completion within three hours for marshal support and official results. The half marathon is restricted to entrants aged 16 years and over; children under 5 must be accompanied in the 3 km. Prams are permitted only in the 3 km and must start at the back of the field. A night road and trail run at North Head, Manly NSW on 3 July 2026 offering 5 km and 8 km options, mandatory lights and reflective clothing. Early bird and standard entry fees apply and prizes are awarded to top finishers.

A single-lap 21.1 km winter trail half marathon at Lake Parramatta Reserve featuring technical single track, fire trail and lakeside scenery. Mandatory gear, cupless hydration and a strict four hour cutoff apply.

Trail ultra events of 30 km, 50 km and 100 km start from St Ives Showground in July 2026 and run through Ku-ring-gai Chase, Garigal National Park and Manly Dam with marked routes and aid stations.
