Tropical Island Walking Adventure

Bay to Base is a point-to-point, non-competitive tropical island walking event located on Magnetic Island in Queensland. Participants can choose between three distinct distances across the island terrain. The event emphasizes community support and fundraising, with a portion of every entry fee donated directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia.

The following distances are available:

  • 23 km
  • 17 km
  • 12 km

The entry fee includes a performance event tee, on-course professional photography, and access to hydration and fruit stalls along the route. Transportation is supported through a chartered bus service that moves participants from the Nelly Bay ferry terminal to the start line at Picnic Bay. A bag transfer service is also provided to move personal belongings from the start line to the finish.

Following the walk, an after-party featuring live music takes place at the Arcadia Village Hotel. The registration price also covers Queensland Parks and Wildlife access fees. Participants have the option to create personal fundraising pages to support charitable goals alongside the physical activity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
