Outer Limits After Dark - Mount Louisa
Outer Limits After Dark is a night trail run on the Mount Louisa walking trails with event headquarters at Calvary Christian College, 569 Bayswater Road, Mount Louisa. The event offers multiple measured distances and fully marshalled courses with electronic timing and on-course first aid.
The trails combine paved steps, wide gravel paths and single track with steep climbs, descents and loose, rocky or rutted sections. A charged head torch is mandatory for all participants. Runners are strongly advised to wear trail shoes and reflective clothing, and to download the course GPX or map to a phone or watch.
Distances:
- 6 km loop on Mount Louisa trails
- 10 km single lap with extended sections
- 21 km two-lap option
- Junior short distance for under 16s
Entry includes a race bib with timing chip, course marshals, on-course photography, aid stations with hydration and snacks (no cups provided), a post-race recovery station with water and fruit, and access to toilets at Event HQ. Some water is provided on course; runners should carry a bottle and sufficient nutrition. Additional mandatory gear applies to the 10 km and 21 km distances, including compression bandages, a waterproof phone, whistle, space blanket and adequate water and nutrition.
Registration opens 10 December 2025 and closes 10 July 2026 or when sold out. A cut off applies to the 21 km course; runners who miss the cut off will be directed to the finish and may be recorded at a shorter distance.
