The Two Bays Trail Run

The Two Bays Trail Run is scheduled for 23 May 2026 on Magnetic Island. Race headquarters are at the Magnetic Island State School sports oval in Nelly Bay and the courses finish at the Arcadia Village Hotel, with the finish line located inside the pub. The event is supported by a ferry travel sponsor offering discounted return fares for participants.

Courses run from Nelly Bay to Arcadia Bay and include technical single track that climbs out of Nelly Bay, traverses ridgelines and returns along coastal tracks with views over Horseshoe Bay. The routes pass through sections of Magnetic Island National Park and include steps, creek lines and some beach running on the longest course. The course is fully marked and marshalled, with on course hydration and snack support provided. First aid support, professional timing with an electronic chip that competitors keep, and on course photography are included.

Mandatory gear is required for the medium and long distances and will be checked at sign in; 21 km competitors must carry a head torch for the finish. The 21 km course has a mid course cut off at Horseshoe Bay and runners may be short coursed if they do not pass required checkpoints.
