Cape Pallarenda Trail Run
The Cape Pallarenda Trail Run is the fifth event in the Outer Limits Trail Run Series held at Cape Pallarenda, with Event HQ at Freemason’s Park in Pallarenda, Australia. The event offers four distances with marked and marshalled courses:
- 5 km Gunners Salute
- 12 km Brolga Dreaming
- 21 km Heartbreak Half Marathon
- 42 km Mt Marlow Marathon
Courses use local trail networks including Mt Marlow summit, Smedleys Ridge, the Graveyard Circuit and the single track Under the Radar. Terrain varies from technical single track to wider fire trails, loose and rocky ground, short and longer steep climbs, and flat sections. Several routes include beach running and views over Cleveland Bay, Magnetic Island and the Coral Sea.
Entry fees vary by distance and booking period; listed ranges include early bird, general and late rates. Junior pricing applies for under 16 on short distance only. Minimum ages are 8 years for short distances and 12 years for longer distances, age at event date.
Inclusions: fully marked course, on course first aid, professional timing and photography, bib plate with timing chip to keep, on course hydration and snacks, post race hydration and fruit, massage zone subject to availability, food and coffee vans, amenities at Race HQ and prize presentations.
Safety and logistics: mandatory gear is required for 12 km and longer and includes compression bandages, whistle, space blanket, waterproofed phone, and sufficient water and nutrition. Cutoff points apply on longer courses and officials may short course or remove competitors for safety. Parking is available at Walter Nesbit Park and Freemasons Park.
