Hypnosis Night Runs : Estrella Mountain Competitive Track

Hypnosis Night Runs is a night trail race held at Estrella Mountain Competitive Track in Tolleson, Arizona. It is presented as part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series and is staged on desert single-track with rolling terrain and saguaros.

Distances offered:

  • 52K
  • 34K
  • 21K
  • 13K
  • 6K

Courses feature a mix of fast smooth sections and more mountainous, technical sections. The start/finish area hosts a fully stocked main aid station offering water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and hot food items. There is at least one fully stocked remote aid station (Far Side Aid) and multiple water-only stations on course.

Logistics include crew access at the start/finish, a designated area for drop bags, and packet pickup options before race day and on race day. Pacers are allowed only for the 52K beginning with the fourth loop; pacers are not allowed for the other distances. Time limits and overall cutoffs apply for each distance. The event uses chip timing, finish-line photos, live split tracking, and awards podium places for the top three in male and female categories.

On-site notes: a park entry fee applies per vehicle, camping is available at the venue for an additional fee, and the event is cupless so runners should plan for reusable cups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
