The 6 Geese a-laying Run takes place on 11 December 2026 at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). It is part of a 12 Days of Christmas race series where each day has its own unique medal. The course is offroad and held within the manor grounds. Each lap is 2.5 km and the route includes a hill on each lap plus a series of up-and-down sections through two vineyards. Participants must be aged 18 or over.

Entry, format and rules

Entrants choose one target distance:

  • 5k (2 laps)
  • 10k
  • Half Marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

Runners and walkers have a 7-hour time limit to complete their chosen distance. Race bibs are collected at registration on the day. A virtual option is available; virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib by email and can have the same medal posted after run verification. A free virtual option records results but does not include a medal. Entry fees listed are Race Entry £29.00, Virtual UK Entry £25.00, Virtual Overseas Entry £39.00. All payments and deposits are non refundable. A charity entry option is available for £10 with required fundraising conditions. Entries may be deferred to the next year for £15 if done more than four weeks before the event. Routes are mostly unsigned and participants remain responsible for staying on course.
