The 6 Geese a-laying Run

The 6 Geese a-laying Run is one event in a Christmas-themed series of races. It takes place on 11 December 2026 at Pengethley Manor in Ross-on-Wye.

Participants can choose their target distance: 5 km (2 laps), 10 km, Half Marathon, Marathon, or Ultra. Each lap on the course is 2.5 km. The event has a 7-hour time limit and is open to both walkers and runners.

The course is off-road and entirely within the grounds of Pengethley Manor. The terrain is described as tough, featuring a hill on each lap and a series of ups and downs through two vineyards.

The event offers a virtual participation option. Virtual participants can complete their chosen distance anywhere in the world, preferably on the event date, with some date flexibility. A free virtual option is also available via a Strava club, where participants are listed in the results but do not receive a medal.

Each day in the Christmas series has its own unique medal. Race medals and virtual medals are the same. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
