Cypress Mountain : 5 Peaks Trail Running

This event is part of the 5 Peaks Trail Running series and takes place at Cypress Mountain in British Columbia. The course features technical singletrack and steep climbs on doubletrack trails.

Multiple course formats are offered with distinct terrain. The Sport course mixes less technical sections with more technical portions. The Enduro includes a very technical add-on that runs past two alpine lakes and contains many exposed roots. The Grit course adds roughly 4 km to increase distance.

Distances available:

  • Kid's Race ~ 1 km
  • Sport Run or Hike - 6.0 km
  • Enduro Run or Hike - 12.75 km
  • Grit Run - 16.4 km

The event operates a cup free policy; no disposable cups will be provided at aid stations. Water and an electrolyte drink are available at the start, finish, and at one or more on-course stations. The on-course electrolyte beverage is Blonyx Hydra+. Participants likely to be out longer than an hour should carry a reusable container for fluids and nutrition.

A non-competitive hiker division runs with designated pace leaders and estimated finish times of about 2 hours for the Sport and 3 hours for the Enduro. Awards and optional swag or finisher medals can be purchased but must be picked up at the event. On-site amenities include washrooms, portable toilets, ample parking, and spectator viewing near the start and finish. Additional on-site attractions are listed for the venue.
