Event overview

The Cypress Mountain race is the third race in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series in British Columbia. It takes place at Cypress Mountain and uses singletrack and doubletrack trails with significant uphill sections. The venue offers nearby on-site activities such as the Eagle Coaster, indoor and outdoor dining, and axe throwing. The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Blonyx Hydra+ is the on-course electrolyte beverage. RunGo provides turn-by-turn route navigation and live tracking for participants and viewers.

The Sport course includes a mix of less technical and more technical sections. The Enduro course includes a technical add-on that passes two alpine lakes and many roots. The Grit course adds roughly 4 km to the Enduro option.

A non-competitive hiker division is led by pace leaders, starts one hour earlier than the regular field, and is intended for walking or hiking only; estimated finish times are about 2 hours for the Sport route and 3 hours for the Enduro route. The hiker division does not have a podium but participants are included in prize draws. Prohibited items on course include dogs, headphones, strollers or child carriers, and nordic walking poles. Washrooms and portable toilets are available on site. Swag and optional wooden finisher medals can be purchased and must be picked up at the race.
