5 Peaks - Cypress Mountain

Located in British Columbia, the Cypress Mountain event serves as the third race in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series. The course is designed with a mix of technical singletrack trails and climbs on doubletrack paths.

The event offers various distances to accommodate different experience levels and goals:

  • Grit Run: approximately 16.4 km
  • Enduro Run or Hike: approximately 12.75 km
  • Sport Run or Hike: approximately 6.0 km
  • Kid's Race: approximately 3 km
  • Kid's Race: approximately 1 km

The Enduro course includes a technical add-on that leads past two alpine lakes. The Sport course features a selection of sections ranging from moderate to high technicality. A non-competitive hiking division is available for both the Sport and Enduro distances, allowing participants to finish the course without time pressure, provided they do not run.

This is a cup-free event; no disposable cups are provided at the start, finish, or aid stations. Runners are required to carry their own hydration packs or reusable bottles. Water and electrolyte drinks are available at designated aid stations. For safety reasons, dogs, headphones, strollers, and nordic walking poles are prohibited on the race courses.

On-site facilities at Cypress Mountain include indoor and outdoor dining, as well as recreational opportunities such as the Eagle Coaster and axe throwing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
