5 Peaks : Cypress Mountain

This event takes place at Cypress Mountain, British Columbia, as part of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series. The course includes singletrack and steep sections on doubletrack trails.

Distances offered:

  • Kid's Race ~1 km
  • Kid's Race 2.75 km
  • Sport Run or Hike 6.0 km
  • Enduro Run or Hike 12.75 km
  • Grit Run 16.4 km

The Sport course mixes less technical and more technical sections. The Enduro includes a technical add-on that passes two alpine lakes and features many root-covered sections. The Grit course adds about 4 km for extra distance.

The event is cup free. Water and an electrolyte drink will be available at the start, finish, and at one or more aid stations. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour should carry a reusable container for fluids and nutrition.

A non-competitive hiker division is led by pace leaders, starts one hour earlier than runners, and is intended for walking or hiking only. Hikers are not eligible for podiums but are entered into prize draws.

Optional finisher medals and other swag can be purchased before or on-site; awards for timed categories are presented at the event and will not be mailed. Volunteer positions are available, and four hours of volunteering can be exchanged for a future event entry or an item from the merch table.

Safety rules include no dogs, no headphones, no strollers or child carriers, and no nordic walking poles. On-site washrooms and portable toilets are provided and parking is reported as plentiful. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
