2 Parks Trail Run
The 2 Parks Trail Run takes place in northern Oakland County, utilizing the trail systems of Addison Oaks County Park and Bald Mountain. The course features a combination of single-track and wide-track dirt trails. For the longer distances, a trail link connects the two parks, which involves a crossing at Lake George Road.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 30K: This option consists of two full loops, totaling approximately 18.6 miles.
- 15K: This distance follows a single loop of approximately 9.3 miles.
- 4 Mile: This shorter route is contained entirely within the boundaries of Addison Oaks Park.
The event is capped at 300 participants. The 30K and 15K events offer awards for overall male and female winners, as well as age group categories ranging from 20-29 up to 70 and over. The 4 Mile event provides awards for overall and masters categories.
Registration includes a choice of a short-sleeve shirt, a headband, a finisher medal, and a reusable cup. After the event, a post-race gathering provides sandwiches and snacks. Aid stations are positioned along the course to support runners. On the day of the event, the mountain bike trails at Addison Oaks are closed to cyclists.
