Event

The 2 Parks Trail Run is a multi-distance trail race based at Addison Oaks County Park in Leonard, MI. The event offers the following distances:

  • 30K - two loops (approx. 18.6 miles)
  • 15K - one loop (approx. 9.3 miles)
  • 4 Mile - new distance held entirely inside Addison Oaks Park

The event is capped at 300 entries. Posted entry fees range from $70 to $90 for the 30K and 15K, and $45 to $65 for the 4 Mile.

Course and logistics

The course runs from Addison Oaks Park to Bald Mountain and back, mostly on single-track and wide-track dirt trails. A total of 1.5 miles of dirt road connects the two parks (.75 mile each way). The start and finish are at Timber Ridge Pavilion in Addison Oaks County Park. Parking is free. A GPX file is available for the 15K loop.

Registration includes a Next Level soft short sleeve shirt, a wooden finisher medal, a reusable cup, post-race food (wrap sandwiches and chips), and access to aid stations. Awards are offered by overall and age-group categories for the 15K and 30K; the 4 Mile has overall and masters awards. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Mountain bike trails in Addison Oaks will be closed to bikers on race day. There is a 5.5 hour time limit for the longer distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Celebrate the year with GOODBYE25, a festive 5K on December 31 along the Clinton River Trail in downtown Rochester. Finishers enjoy handmade awards, White Elephant prizes and post race pizza and hot cocoa at the RARA clubhouse.
