14er Fest 14K & 5K

14er Fest is a fall multi-distance trail event held in Buena Vista, Colorado on September 27, 2026. The event is based around Vendor Village near 402 East Main Street and includes trail and town segments along the Arkansas River and the Buena Vista River Park.

Available distances:

  • 14K, trail race with over 500 feet of elevation gain
  • 5K, 3.1-mile route on road, dirt and gravel trails

The 14K begins by following most of the 5K course through the Buena Vista River Park, then crosses the Arkansas River bridge and climbs into the Midland Hill Trail System. The route gains elevation and offers elevated views of Buena Vista, the Arkansas River, and the Collegiate Peaks. The return follows the South Midland Trail, crosses the river, goes through South Main, and finishes at Vendor Village near the Eddyline Beer Garden.

The 5K starts and ends in Vendor Village, winding through the River Park and along a riverside trail on South Main before returning toward the event center. Both courses include mixed surfaces and river views.

Registration opens April 17, 2026 and closes September 25, 2026. Registration fees listed are $50 for the 14K and $35 for the 5K. Participants who register before September 17, 2026 will receive a performance race hat with a 14er Fest branded patch. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
