The Sawatch Ascent 50k is a challenging high-alpine trail race held in Nathrop, Colorado, showcasing the stunning Sawatch Range. Covering 33 miles with 7,000 feet of vertical gain, the course features a mix of 26 miles of singletrack, paved, and gravel roads, including 12 miles on the Colorado Trail. Starting and finishing at the base of Mount Princeton, runners experience panoramic views, aspen forests, and alpine plateaus, reaching a high point of 13,150 feet. The race offers a supportive community atmosphere, three well-stocked aid stations, and a cutoff time of 11 hours.
