The 21st Annual Run Through Time takes place in Salida, CO on March 14, 2026. Registration opens November 1, 2025. Distances offered include:

  • Marathon
  • Half Marathon
  • 2 Mile Run
  • 400 meter kids' run

The marathon entry is open to ages 16-100. There is a 500-person combined limit for the half and full marathon, split mostly evenly. Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and top three women in each race and to top finishers in each 10-year age group. All registered runners receive custom race socks. A light hot meal will be available at the finish for contestants.

Course, location and rules

Races use the Arkansas Hills Trail System, BLM and Forest Service land, and Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property. Courses run on dirt/jeep roads and narrow, hilly single track with elevations ranging from 7,000 to 9,000 feet. Foot travel only; no crews or pacers are allowed. Time limits are 7.5 hours for the marathon and 5 hours for the half marathon. Race day packet pickup, finish and post-race activities are at the Salida Scout Hut, 210 East Sackett Avenue; the start is across the F Street bridge and railroad tracks, a short walk from the Scout Hut.
