Event overview

The 21st Annual Run Through Time Trail Marathon and Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026 in Salida, Colorado. The event includes the following distances:

  • Marathon
  • Half marathon
  • 2 Mile Run
  • Kids 400 m run in Riverside Park

Registration opens on November 1. There is a 500 person combined limit for the half marathon and full marathon, split mostly evenly between the two events.

Course, rules and support

Courses run on dirt and jeep roads and narrow, hilly single track with views of Salida and the Arkansas Valley. Elevations along the courses range from 7,000 to 9,000 feet. The race uses the Arkansas Hills Trail System, Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service land, and Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property. The 2 Mile Run uses the first two dirt road miles of the marathon and half marathon course. Foot travel only. The marathon has a 7.5 hour time limit and the half marathon has a 5 hour time limit. Crews and pacers are not allowed on either course.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and to the top three in each 10-year age group. All registered runners receive custom race socks. A light hot meal will be available at the finish. Packet pickup and the finish are located at the Salida Scout Hut, 210 East Sackett Avenue.
