22nd Annual Run Through Time Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
The Run Through Time takes place in Salida, Colorado, on courses that use the Arkansas Hills Trail System, BLM and Forest Service land, and Chaffee County and City of Salida roads and property. The routes offer views of Salida and the Arkansas Valley and range in elevation from about 7,000 to 9,000 feet. Runners travel on narrow single track, dirt, and jeep roads. Foot travel only; crews and pacers are not allowed.
The event program includes included items and awards, time limits, and participant limits. Registered runners receive custom race socks and a light hot meal at the finish. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women in each race and to the top three in each ten year age group. Donations from race proceeds support Salida Mountain Trails and Chaffee County Search and Rescue-South; over the last eight years more than $40,000 has been donated.
Distances offered:
- 26.2 miles, marathon on single track and dirt roads
- 13.1 miles, half marathon on single track and dirt roads
- 2 miles, same initial loop as the longer courses
- 400 meters, free kids run in Riverside Park
Time limits and participant caps: marathon has a 7.5 hour cutoff and a 250 person limit; half marathon has a 5 hour cutoff and a 250 person limit; there is a combined 500 person limit for the two longer races.
