The 21st Annual Run Through Time takes place Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Salida, Colorado. The event offers these races:

  • Trail Marathon
  • Trail Half Marathon
  • 2 Mile Run

Registration opens November 1, 2025. There is a combined limit of 500 participants for the half marathon and full marathon, with the allotment split mostly evenly between the two events. All registered runners receive custom race socks. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and to the top three in each 10-year age group.

Course and logistics

Races are held on the Arkansas Hills Trail System and on BLM, Forest Service, Chaffee County, and City of Salida land and roads. Course surfaces include dirt/jeep roads and narrow, hilly single track. Elevation on the courses ranges from 7,000 to 9,000 feet. Foot travel only; crews and pacers are not allowed. Time limits are 7.5 hours for the marathon and 5 hours for the half marathon. A light hot meal is available at the finish. The Salida Scout Hut (210 East Sackett Avenue) is the race-day packet pickup location, restroom area, and race finish site. The race start is a short walk across the F Street bridge and railroad tracks from the Scout Hut. A free kids’ 400 meter run takes place in Riverside Park.
