Trail Running calendar near Wichita Falls 2026-2027

North Texas Ultra runs multiple distances on the Lost Creek Reservoir State Trailway in Fort Richardson State Park, using a 15.5 mile out and back loop on soft fine gravel with staffed aid stations and mandatory water carrying.

Trail races through the Lyndon B Johnson National Grasslands with distances from 15K to 100 mile, marked loops and aid stations, non technical terrain and distance specific awards.

Trail races from 9K to 50 miles take place at Copper Breaks State Park near Quanah, TX on March 21, 2026. Terrain includes grass, rock, sandstone and single track, with about 2500 feet of elevation gain on the 50 mile course.

Join the Pueblo Boxing 5K in Wichita Falls on April 25, 2026 for a family friendly run along the scenic trail system. Walkers, strollers and pets welcome as entries support Pueblo Boxing youth programs and community events.

Possum's Revenge in Graford, TX on May 16, 2026 features multiple trail distances with varied terrain and views of Possum Kingdom Lake. Each loop has about 1,460 feet of elevation gain.

Trail races from 5 miles to 100 miles take place at Lake Murray State Park near Ardmore in late October. The cupless event uses spaced aid stations, allows pacers for the longest distances, and awards buckles and medals to finishers.
