About the race
The North Texas Ultra on February 6, 2027 is a multi-distance trail event held at Fort Richardson State Park, North Park Unit, in Jacksboro, TX. The event is organized by Texas Outlaw Running and uses the Lost Creek Reservoir State Trailway.

- 52 Miler
- 50K
- 25K
- 25K RUCK
- 10K
- 5K
The course follows a 15.5 mile out-and-back loop that begins and ends at the North Park Unit. The trail is open, described as scenic and historical, and is surfaced with soft fine gravel. Elevation changes total about 550 ft per 15.5 mile loop, with generally moderate gains and losses. A 20-hour overall cutoff applies for the longest distances.
Pacers are permitted on the last two loops of the 100K and 52 Miler and on the final loop of the 50K. Ruck entries have weight requirements: runners over 150 lbs must carry 30 lb, and those under 150 lbs must carry 20 lb; ruck sacks or vests are allowed.
Reported race services and awards include aid stations, fully marked and supported course, photography, a long sleeve race shirt, collectible finisher medals and a 100K finisher silver buckle, first place awards by gender, and a Dead Freakin Last recognition for the 100K.
