Course, rules and race services
The course uses the Lost Creek Reservoir State Trailway with a soft fine gravel surface on an open, wide trail. The standard loop measures 15.5 miles out-and-back with approximately 550 ft of elevation gain and loss per loop. Historical mid-February temperatures on the site range from about 35 to 60 degrees.
Pacers are allowed on the last two loops of the 100K, the last two loops of the 52 Miler, and the final loop of the 50K. RUCK entrants must carry weight according to body weight: 30 lb if over 150 lb, 20 lb if under 150 lb; a ruck sack or vest is allowed. Race gear and awards include a race shirt, collectible finisher medals (with 50K and 52M inscription), a buckle for 100K finishers, and first-place awards for male and female finishers at each distance.
