Trail Running calendar near Rimrock 2026-2027

A winter race series in Billings where runners start individually by predicted pace so faster runners chase to the finish. Four events from a 4K to a 10K include series scoring and cash prizes and free entry for club members.

Experience Montana landscapes at the Billings Skyline Races. Run along the sandstone Rimrocks and through the shaded Alkali Creek Trail in a half marathon or 30K event ending at Two Moon Park.

Experience the hills north of Laurel in the Chief Joseph Uphill Run. Choose between 2, 4, or 8 mile routes starting and ending at the scenic Thomson Park.

Experience the natural terrain of Phipps Park west of Billings Montana. Choose from four trail distances ranging from 2 to 8 miles with dedicated prizes for those reaching the top of the Beast.

Experience an off road race at Red Lodge Mountain featuring mountain trails and dirt roads. Choose from solo distances or team relays across a multi lap course with a central base area for snacks and supplies.

Experience a fast downhill race through the scenic Little Belt Mountains to historic Harlowton. This charity event features a smooth gravel course with multiple distances and a finish line celebration at a local brewery.

The Rim Runner Trail Trek will take place in Billings on Wednesday 9 September 2026. You can run 5 kilometers.

Montana Cup is a team based cross country meet in Billings, Montana featuring men's and women's age divisions, residency based teams, and a 5k to 8k course over rough terrain. Teams compete for a traveling trophy and individual awards.
