Nitty Gritty Off Road Race

The Nitty Gritty Off Road Race, held at Red Lodge Mountain Resort, is a challenging off-road marathon known for its steep climbs and rugged terrain. Celebrating its sixth year, this event offers various options including solo races for half and full marathons, as well as relay teams of two, three, or six runners. Participants can enjoy a low-key atmosphere with the motto "low key, high elevation," and are encouraged to bring their dogs. The course features a continuous loop of approximately 4.31 miles with no aid stations, requiring runners to carry their own supplies. Bear spray is mandatory for all participants.
