April 2027

A trail run and walk at Guisborough Rugby Club on Saturday 3 April 2027 supporting Teesside Samaritans. Options include a 10 km walk or run and a half marathon on the official Samaritans Way, with profits donated to the charity.

A 26 miles anti clockwise loop around Allendale, Northumberland, organised by North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team to raise funds. The route crosses Hard Rigg, Black Hill and Kilhope Law and returns via Spartylea, The Drag and Ladlewell.

A third year trail running event on 3 April 2027 at Yorkshire Cycle Hub raising funds for mental health. About 10 km with 1100 ft ascent, limited to 100 entries, age 16 plus, and dogs welcome.

A **32 miles** route from Driffield Showground across the Yorkshire Wolds to be completed within 12 hours. Checkpoints offer food and drink, basic camping and free car parking are available, and entrants must be 18 or older.

A 55 km ultra along Wainwright’s coast to coast route from Kirkby Stephen to Richmond on 4 April 2027. The event crosses the North Pennines and Yorkshire Dales with mandatory kit checks, staffed aid stations and a transported finishers bag.

Trail running in Whinlatter forest on 4 April 2027 with two runnable courses of about 9 km and 12 km on wide forest tracks. Timed and marked routes allow dogs on suitable harnesses and borrowing kit is available.

An 80 km ultra along Wainwright’s coast to coast route across the North York Moors with mandatory kit checks, GPX navigation and staffed aid stations offering food, drink and medical support.

Trail runs at Bramham Park in April 2027 offer 5km, 10km and a Half Marathon across estate woodland. The event allows one controlled dog per runner and uses live chip timing for results.

An official backyard ultra at West Benridge Farm featuring a repeating 4.167 mile loop completed each hour, plus a festival-style HQ with DJs, food and coffee as the race continues until one Last Standing remains.

Trail event along the Cleveland Way from Skinningrove to the Charm Bracelet sculpture and Saltburn. The route is 7.4 miles with 890 ft elevation, welcomes runners and walkers aged over 15, and includes a medal plus checkpoint snacks.

Trail running in Hawkshead with marked 10 km and 16 km routes, scenic Lake District views and the steep Coffin Trail climb. Courses are marshalled with water stations, event village facilities and category prizes for eligible starters.

A trail running festival in Keswick on 10 April 2027 with two routes, 53k and 23k, across classic Lake District terrain. The event is TRA licensed and includes live ultra tracking, chip timing, photos and a themed medal.

Trail event from Skipton with 13, 20 and 34 mile options along sections of the Dales High Way, River Aire Ultra and Pennine Way. The ultramarathon visits Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar and carries ITRA and UTMB points.

The NAV4 Lakes Mountain 40 will take place in Lowther on Saturday 10 April 2027. You can run between 27 and 40 miles.

A coastal trail half marathon from Redcar to Staithes covering 14.35 miles with varied terrain, 1591 ft of ascent and a five hour limit. Two aid stations, a finishers medal and category trophies are provided.

A coastal trail marathon from Redcar to Whitby following the England Coast Path and Cleveland Way. The 26.57 mile route includes sand, cliffs and 3,263 ft of ascent, with four aid stations, marshaled checkpoints and a GPX route available.

A self-navigated circa 37-mile challenge from Goathland in the North York Moors visiting five Triangulation Pillars. Enter solo or as a pair; entrants must be self-supported, carry required kit, and complete the course within 15 hours.
