An uphill only 10 km from Ruthin to the Jubilee Tower on Moel Famau, featuring mixed terrain and a summit finish above 550 m; transport back to town can be purchased on site.

A club organised 12 km fell race with about 490 m of ascent around Old Town, Hebden Bridge, including a flagged section through the private Castle Carr estate. Pre-entry is required and strict FRA kit rules apply.

A traditional cross country race in Dovedale with a 4 3/4 mile main course, a 1 1/4 mile Mini Dash for children, and a river crossing at the Stepping Stones.

A roughly 21.7 km trail half marathon around Harkerside and Apedale in Swaledale, featuring moorland trods, mandatory kit and a 200 runner limit.

A roughly 42 km trail race across Swaledale and Wensleydale with moorland tracks, navigation sections, mandatory kit and a short-course diversion at Dent's Houses.

A junior fell running race in the Pennines for ages 6 and up. The 2 km course starts near a classic pub. Entry is available on the day.

A traffic free one lap 5K through Roundhay Park that passes the lake and climbs to the Mansion House. Entries are limited to 300, chip timing is provided and finishers receive medals and individual prizes.

Castle Carr is a 24 km fell race in the South/West Pennines near Hebden Bridge on 4 October 2026, with about 1200 m of ascent and official FRA permit and insurance.

Trail runs at Dodd Wood offering 8K and 5K marked, chip timed courses where dogs run on a harness and most sections allow two dogs per runner.

Scenic two lap 10 km trail at Dalemain Mansion with 3.3 km and 2.3 km children's fun runs, raising funds for Jigsaw Children's Hospice and local causes.

A roughly 10km trail race in the Derwent Valley with a fully marked and marshalled course through woodland, rocky sections and a stream crossing; entrants must be 18 or over.

Headtorch trail around Swinsty and Fewston Reservoirs with half marathon, 10 km and 5 km options, on-course water and finisher medals.

The Darlington Trail Night Run will take place in Darlington on Wednesday 7 October 2026.

An evening 10k trail in the enclosed Kiplin Hall estate combining gardens, woodland and lakeside paths, with refreshments, trophies and limited on-site parking.

A trail event at Cuerden Valley Park on Friday 9 October 2026 where runners complete repeated 5k laps within a six hour limit. Finishers receive an official time and a bespoke medal.

A fell race at Wasdale Head on 10 October 2026 that climbs to Kirk Fell over 2.4 miles with about 700 m ascent. Age groups run from Under 12 to Seniors and specific waterproof kit is compulsory.

Langdale Horseshoe is a 21.1 km October fell race over rocky, pathless terrain that requires prior mountain running experience. Entries open 1 August via SI Entries and the field is limited to 550 competitors.
