Lee Mill Relays

The Lee Mill Relays is the eighth running of a team relay set in the Lee Mill Quarry site near Stubbylee Hall in Rossendale, Lancashire. The event is organised for teams of four runners; teams may be all men, all ladies, or mixed.

Each team member runs individually over a flagged course of 10.7k. The route is described as hard and demanding and may be raced in wintery conditions. Organisers require full kit to be carried by competitors, including a full waterproof bodycover, hat, gloves, compass and whistle, and a stringent kit check will be made. A map of the course is provided on registering.

Clubs may enter teams without naming individual runners until nearer the event. Entry is by team and the fee is £28 per team. The field is limited to 120 teams, with a wait list in operation; entries on the day may be possible if the limit is not reached. A competition disclaimer and cancellation policy are published for the event.

The format, kit requirements and team limit are stated by the organiser to reflect the nature of the course and the conditions that can be expected in the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
