Greater Manchester 200 Ultra

The Greater Manchester 200 is a single-stage, continuous ultramarathon of 200 miles and approximately 5,545 m of ascent, held around Greater Manchester following the GM Ringway. The event is limited to 150 places and has an overall cut-off of 96 hours. It is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules; ITRA and UTMB mountain performance index points are to be confirmed.

The route links communities across the region and is supported with 10 GB Ultras checkpoints. Checkpoints provide drinks, hot food at indoor locations, sandwiches, snacks and fruit, plus on-site medical cover or first responders. Dropbags are permitted at checkpoint 3 (Mottram), checkpoint 5 (Healey), checkpoint 8 (Pennington Wharf) and at the finish; size and weight limits apply and uncollected bags will be disposed of.

Mandatory kit must be carried at all times and includes navigation capable devices with the GM200 GPX, fully charged mobile phone, waterproof coat and trousers with sealed seams, headtorch and backup light, battery pack, survival bag or bivi, whistle, and minimum emergency food. Random kit checks will take place and failure to carry required items can lead to disqualification.

Race tracking is available online via GB Race Tracker. Pacers and support runners are not permitted. Supporters and support crews face strict access and parking restrictions at several locations; breaches can attract time penalties or disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
