Trail Running calendar near Derby 2026-2027

A single 8 km fell race near Llanferres with 366 m of ascent and partial route markings. Entry is by payment of £4 on the day and entrants must be over 16.

A short evening fell relay on the Otley Chevin and Danefield terrain, run by Horsforth Fellandale. The course is about 3 miles with c. 558 ft of ascent and entries for 2026 are via an online form with a pre entry closing date.

A 6.4 km category BS fell race around Thurlstone Gala/Football Field in South Yorkshire with undulating single-lap terrain, a 150-runner limit, £6 entry, age-category prizes and cash bonuses for record breaks.

A 59 mile point to point ultramarathon following much of the River Severn from Shrewsbury to Worcester. The race has four checkpoints with vegan and gluten free options and enforces a minimum pace of 4.0 miles per hour.

Summer 10k at Coombe Abbey Park on 10 July 2026 is a 10 km trail run over two laps of woodland and meadow with four water station visits. Onsite toilets and low cost parking are available and there is an option to receive a tree token inste..

A six-hour trail event at Coombe Abbey Park where participants complete as many 3.3 mile laps as they choose within a timed window. The route is mainly stone pathways with a meadow section, on-site parking, cafe and toilet facilities.

Midlands Spartan Weekend at Belvoir Castle runs Jul 10 to 12, 2026 with Sprint, Super, Beast and kids obstacle races. It is a Trifecta Weekend allowing completion of the three main distances in one weekend.

A two person relay to the summit of Moel Famau and back over about 6.5 km with 350 m of climb. Night registration and a small on the night entry fee, with parking options that depend on ground conditions.

A point to point 57 mile ultra along the Severn Way from Worcester to Stonehouse, passing Upton-on-Severn, Tewkesbury and Gloucester. Four checkpoints offer vegan and gluten free options, finishers receive a bespoke medal and a head visor.

Trail races from Slaithwaite follow the Huddersfield canal out to Tunnel End, with four distance options, on course feed stations and marshals. Parking is limited and registration is at Slaithwaite Community Centre.

Take on the New Embsay Fell Race on Sat 11 Jul: a punchy 2.5 mile course with 195 m of climb through the Yorks Dales. Part of the village fete, enjoy entertainment and refreshments and easy on the day entry for a fun community challenge.

Take on the Charlesworth & Chisworth Carnival Fell Race on Sat 11 Jul 2026 in the Peak District, a testing 5 km / 3.1 mile course with 180 m of climb. Pre entry and entry on the day plus junior races make this a great community running day.

A timed lap event on a flat 5.3 km riverside course in Chorlton Water Park, offering distances from 5 km to ultra over a seven hour limit. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and the organisers donate £1 per entry to a chosen charity.

A short 1.6 km hill race with 95 m of climb on Sugar Lane in Rainow on 11 July 2026, held as part of the Rainow Village Fete. Open to runners aged 8 and over with entry on the day.
