Wolf Moon trail half marathon
The Wolf Moon trail half marathon takes place on 23 January 2027 and follows an out and back trail route from Race HQ at Rock Lane in Sutton Scarsdale. The course runs through Sutton Spring Wood, climbs to the Five Pits Trail and includes undulating sections before reaching a turning loop with an aid station.
The event marks the rising of the Wolf Moon, the name given to the full moon in January. Finishers receive a Wolf Moon medal and can have cake and hot drinks by a campfire after the race. Free car parking is available at Race HQ, the lane and Sutton Scarsdale Hall.
The race has a 3 hour 30 minute time limit. Entry is open from 14 August 2026 until 16 January 2027. The minimum age for participants is 18 or older.
