Trail Running calendar near Burton Waters 2026-2027

Trail ultramarathons in the Peak District on 12–13 September 2026 with distances from 12 km to 110 km, UTMB Index status and camping options. The event also forms part of the GB SLAM series.

A Backyard Ultra at High Lodge, Thetford Forest where runners complete a *4 miles 880 feet* loop every hour; full, 12 hour and 6 hour entry options are available, with camping, basic aid station and chip timing.

A 20 mile unmarked traverse across nine gritstone edges raising funds for Edale Mountain Rescue Team. Participants walk, run, or climb with mandatory navigation and kit requirements and checkpoints offering refreshments.

MacTuffX Manchester at Etihad Campus on 12 September 2026 features solo, doubles and relay formats with ten Xercises and repeated 400 m or 800 m runs. Entrants must be 18 or older and a LITE weight division is available.

An 81 mile single loop ultra on the Bunyan Way in Bedfordshire with a 24 hour cutoff, 1,219 metres of climb and seven aid stations. The runnable country route features live tracking, medical cover and a bespoke finisher medal and T shirt.

A trail running event in Alton on 12 September 2026 offering a 10 km trail and a 2 mile fun run. The route uses gravel tracks and woodland trails and passes through the grounds of Alton Castle; medals for all finishers.

TrailFest at Holdenby House offers four traffic free trail distances inside a private estate, with routes on farm tracks, field edges and through a small wood, plus rolling hills and open countryside views.

A 6.0 miles trail race in the Colne Valley near Huddersfield on 13 September 2026, featuring varied terrain, a climb to Cupwith and a finish at Zapato Brewery. The route is marshalled and waymarked and offers prizes for top and age category..

Teddy Bear Run in Aston Park, Birmingham brings families together for 2.5K or 5K courses, a finisher teddy, and a teddy bears picnic. Participants are invited to fundraise for Birmingham Children’s Hospital with a suggested minimum of £10.
