The Great Sprout Scuttle
The event takes place at Normanby Hall Country Park & Gardens on 13th December 2026 and combines themed festive activities with off-road running and family-friendly attractions. It includes a variety of events that run alongside charity fundraising for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
Distances and formats:
- 5k trail run : dog friendly
- 10k trail run : licensed through the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics guidance
- 3k ChristMESS family fun : untimed, set off in waves of 200 every ten minutes
A separate team challenge, Santa's Super Sleigh Challenge, invites teams of five to complete an around 2km course. Entry for that challenge is limited to twelve teams, all ticket income for a team goes to Lindsey Lodge, and participants in the sleigh must be age 16 or over. The event notes a fundraising commitment for some places and that Curly's has donated free entries tied to fundraising commitments.
The running courses are on off-road trails through countryside parkland. Organisers describe the route as picturesque with potential muddy sections and wildlife sightings. Facilities include space for club tents and family activities.
