The Great Sprout Scuttle & Pyjama Express at Normanby Hall Country Park

The event takes place on 13th December 2026 at Normanby Hall Country Park & Gardens and combines a set of festive themed trail runs, a family fun run, and a team sleigh challenge. Curly's Athletes runs the programme in partnership with Lindsey Lodge Hospice; some events support fundraising for the hospice. The 10k trail run is licensed through the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics guidance.

Distances and event types:

  • 5k trail run, dog friendly
  • 10k trail run, licensed
  • 3k ChristMESS family fun event, untimed
  • Santa's Super Sleigh Challenge teams of five, around 2 km

The course is off road through countryside with natural terrain; December conditions may include muddy sections and wildlife sightings. The ChristMESS 3k is arranged in waves of 200 every ten minutes to provide space on course and is not timed. Children under nine must be accompanied by an adult; the organisers ask that every participant holds an entry ticket and they encourage raising a small sponsorship for the charity.

Santa's Super Sleigh Challenge accepts a limited number of teams, is for participants aged 16 and over, and donates ticket income to Lindsey Lodge. Entry fees, medal design details for 2026, and additional event information are noted by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
