A women-only 6 km trail event at Big G’s Gym in Edgworth on 6 March 2027 with official timing, marshals and a GPX route file. All profits support PSPA and Scallywags Pre-school.

A flat out and back on the Leeds to Liverpool Canal towpath from Granary Wharf, offering distances from 10K to ultra marathon with regular feed stations and Trail Running Association licensing.

Trail runs of 10 km and 20 km take place at Beacon Fell Country Park on 7 March 2027 with chip timing and medals for finishers. Pre registration is required and there is a three hour cut off time.

A new half marathon at Grizedale Forest on wide trails and some single track, chip timed and marked, with no cut-offs. A 12k option is available and runners may bring up to two dogs.

A 31.7 mile off road fell race around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge with about 1615 m of climb. It crosses remote moorland, requires FRA mandatory kit and navigation skills, and raises funds for local charities.

Two Crosses is an LDWA challenge event organised by the East Lancashire group, next scheduled for March 14th 2027. It is listed within the LDWA challenge event category which is normally for longer distance walks with time limits.

Two community trail races in Abbey Village on 14 March 2027: a scenic 9 km trail and a fully off-road 2.2 km junior run. Both courses are marshalled with first aid cover, refreshments, and proceeds supporting the local school PTA.

A running event in Lytham on 14 March 2027 with a 5.24 mile coastal loop along the Ribble estuary. Competitors may complete as many laps as they wish within a six hour limit and receive an official time and a finisher medal.

A 70 km mountain route across the Lake District from St Bees to Patterdale following Wainwright's Coast to Coast path. Checkpoints offer food, indoor access and first aid and the overall cut off is 18 hours.

A multi-day 300KM crossing of England along Wainwright's Coast to Coast from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay, passing three national parks. Checkpoints provide food, sleeping facilities, toilets and first aid, and finishers earn ITRA points.

CT Lakes 100 is a 94 km trail ultramarathon across the Lake District from St Bees to Shap on 20 March 2027, featuring 2,931 m of ascent and checkpoints at Ennerdale, Borrowdale Institute and Patterdale.

A fully marked single lap trail race of 20 kilometres around Buttermere and Crummock Water in Cumbria on 21 March 2027, featuring lakeshore, rocky and woodland trails with wet technical sections on the western shoreline.

A supported 50 mile trail race along the Trans Pennine Trail, Manchester Ship Canal and River Mersey with six checkpoints, live GPS tracking and a 14 hour cut off. Entrants must be 20 and have completed a marathon.

A coastal 10 km out-and-back on Blackpool Beach starting and finishing by the Mirror Ball, run mainly on firm sand with a water station at 5 km. Pre-registration only, minimum age 15, chip timing, event T-shirt option and on-course medical..

April 2027

A roughly 100 km coast-to-coast ultra across the Lake District with about 3,500 m ascent, marked support points and mandatory kit checks. The route follows Wainwright’s trail from St Bees to Shap and includes GPX and map support.

A 26 miles anti clockwise loop around Allendale, Northumberland, organised by North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team to raise funds. The route crosses Hard Rigg, Black Hill and Kilhope Law and returns via Spartylea, The Drag and Ladlewell.

A 300 km self supported ultra race following Wainwrights Coast to Coast from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay, crossing three National Parks and featuring about 6 500 m of ascent over varied mountain, valley and moorland terrain.
