Trail Running Calendar Newfoundland and Labrador 2026-2027

Paradise Backyard Ultra takes place in Paradise Newfoundland and Labrador on May 22, 2026. The Silver Coin edition follows an expanded field of 200 runners and donates proceeds to local trail and community charities.

A community fundraiser on June 6, 2026 in Mobile to support the 336 km East Coast Trail. Choose routes from 3.5 km to 23 km, use a personal fundraising page, and earn prize draw entries based on funds raised.

A 9K stage of the Seaside Showdown Series in St. John's with GPX navigation and volunteers at key points. Parking at the start and non transferable registrations, with options to move entries to other series races.

A roughly 8 km coastal trail race in Flatrock on July 4 2026, limited to 150 runners with category awards. Entry is $33 plus fees and sales are final.

A community Pride fun run around Quidi Vidi Lake on July 18, 2026. The third edition supports Quadrangle LGBTQ Community Centre Inc., uses a single lap trail course, includes participant bling and a post race beer at Jack Astor's.

Trail race of 10.6K in St. John's from Ft. Amherst to Blackhead. The course is unflagged; a GPX file and Strava routes are available, volunteers will be at key points and parking near the start is limited.

Joy Run 50 offers a 25 km trail run and a two person relay in St. John's. The route starts at Signal Hill and finishes at Middle Cove Beach, and the event focuses on mental health and suicide prevention.

An 8 km trail race on July 27, 2025 that circles two ponds along the well groomed T'Railway, with age group certificates, refreshments and a post-race reception at the Paradise Park bandstand.

An approximately 11 km loop on Mickeleens Path in Witless Bay with an unflagged course monitored by volunteers. A GPX file and Strava routes are provided; registrations and bibs are non-transferable.

A 9.3 km trail race in St. John's from Maddox Cove to Cape Spear with a GPX route provided, volunteers at key locations and a Parks Canada day pass included. The event is part of the Seaside Showdown Series.

A cross country meet on September 14, 2024 at Pippy Park with 2 km and 5 km races, chip timing and medals for the top three in each age category.

A trail ultra in Corner Brook on Sept 5, 2026 offering 100 km, 50 km and a 50 km relay through the Long Range Mountains with substantial elevation gain. Registration opens Nov 15 and closes Aug 15.

Trail races in Twillingate, NL offering 50K, 23K and 9K routes on coastal single track, forest and outport roads. The 9K loop passes Snellins Cove, Back Harbour, Batrix Island and Smith's Lookout.

A 15 km trail race on the Stiles Cove Path from Pouch Cove to Flatrock, part of the ECT 50 Sampler. Event routes are on Strava and the race is supported locally and insured by CARA.

A 21K trail race from Flatrock to Red Cliff serving as a sampler for the ECT 50. Aid at Middle Cove Beach, mandatory phone and whistle, event insured by CARA, and bibs are non transferable.

A 50 km coastal trail race in Pouch Cove with technically demanding terrain, three aid stations and mandatory whistle and cellphone at check in. Proceeds support the East Coast Trail Association.

An 11 km trail race on November 11, 2025, along the T’Railway, sanctioned by the NLAA. Limited to 200 runners, finishers receive a medal and net proceeds support the Poppy Fund.
