About the race
The ECT 50% Half Marathon is scheduled for October 10, 2026 in Flatrock, NL. The event is a trail race of 21K that follows East Coast Trail routes listed as Father Troy's Trail, Silver Mine Head Path, and Cobbler's Path, running from Flatrock to Red Cliff.
The event is organized by ECT Sampler Series and is supported by the East Coast Trail Association, The Outfitters, and Train 4 Trails. The race is insured by CARA Canadian Adventure Racing Association. An aid station is located at Middle Cove Beach and will provide water and Gatorade; runners are encouraged to have a crew for additional support at aid stations.
Basic race rules require all runners to carry a cell phone and a whistle. Assistance is restricted to the designated aid station unless it is for First Aid medical attention. The event is held rain or shine, and participants are responsible for their own kit, nutrition, and clothing. Runners who withdraw during the event must directly notify the Race Director.
Entry cost is listed as USD 44.00. Registrations and bib numbers cannot be transferred to other individuals, though moving a registration to another ECT Sampler Series race may be possible with advance notice.
